Right here, with the people they know. Our schooling shows on Long Island are open to all riders so first-timers and veterans alike get real competition experience without facing off against strangers. Parents and family are encouraged to attend. It’s as much a celebration as a competition. [Register for our Next Show](https://hopoti.com/en-us/stable/ThomasSchoolofHorsemanship/booking?cal=1867) ![TSH schooling shows foster a supportive, welcoming atmosphere](https://www.thomasschoolofhorsemanship.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Assets/Images/General%20Riding%20and%20Lessons/new.jpg?height=2000&name=new.jpg) ###### No Experience Required ### Whether their first show or fifteenth, there’s a spot for everyone. Schooling shows are open to riders at every skill level. Riders compete against others at a similar stage, so a first-timer isn’t measured against someone who’s been showing for years (just against their own progress). That’s the whole point of a schooling show: It’s a place to practice competing. Riders get real ring experience—the nerves, the excited waiting, the actual test of putting a lesson into practice in front of an audience—without the added pressure of an unfamiliar venue. For a lot of riders, this is where the idea of “competing” stops feeling scary and starts feeling like something they’re truly capable of. ###### Where Confidence Gets Tested & Built ## For some riders, this is the first rung on a much longer ladder. A schooling show is often where riders discover they love competing. And for those who do, it’s genuinely good preparation for what comes next, whether that’s a recognized show, the IEA team, or simply a bigger schooling show down the road. But there’s no expectation to go further. Plenty of riders show once a season at our facility in Jericho, New York, and enjoy every minute of it, with no interest in chasing anything past that.
