Barn Days at Thomas School
Turn a day off from school into a day with horses.
On school-closure days, Barn Days give riders ages 8 and up a full day at Thomas School, swapping screens for time in the saddle. They get the same hands-on horsemanship as Summer Camp, just packed into a single day.
And with smaller group sizes, it often runs as one close-knit collection of riders.
What a Barn Day Looks Like
The same activities your rider loves, just squeezed into one day.
10am to 3pm, the same as a Summer Camp day. Riders still get real time in the saddle, plus hands-on time with grooming, tacking, stable management, and even the basics of horse health and anatomy.
Think of it as Summer Camp’s best day, on repeat throughout the year.
What to Pack for Barn Days
Pack like it’s camp. Because it is.
Riding boots, a helmet, lunch, a snack, a change of clothes, sunscreen, a hat, and a water bottle will cover it.
And since these days pop up in every season on Long Island, not just summer, check the forecast before you pack the coat.
How to Register
No need to plan your whole year around a single-day horse camp.
That’s the beauty of Barn Days at Thomas School of Horsemanship.
